Mrs. Mahan attended a Fishing in the Natural State (FINS) professional development this summer and applied for the FINS program. She was approved for the program and received a FINS curriculum book, 24 Zebco 33 rod and reel combos, fishing tackle, beginner’s guide to fishing books, a minnow seine, identification cards, education cards, and a backyard bass set. Students will learn about fish anatomy, fish identification, water ecology, habitat types, basic fishing skills, intermediate fishing skills, human impact, and aquatic nuisance species through the curriculum!
We are excited to offer this curriculum and an end of the year fishing derby for our Alternative Learning Environment. CJHS will also be able to offer instruction and an end the year fishing derby for some of our students.

We are looking forward to seeing everyone back on campus very soon. Open House for the Clinton School District will be held on Thursday, August 7th from 5-7pm. Specific campus meetings and times will be announced at a later date! Enjoy the rest of your summer break!

Happy 1st Birthday to our little Mookie! 🐾
Although Mookie has been enjoying his lazy summer at home, he is still working hard to become a certified Therapy Dog for Clinton Schools. He currently is enrolled in his second round of training and will hopefully pass his CGC Canine Good Citizen test soon. We look forward to meeting new students in August!
